I don't know but I first heard it about 40 years ago. In fact there was a pub in my town that changed it's name to The Pheasant Plucker. Didn't last too long before they changed it back to it's previous name. Whilst in there i heard the following ditty

Susie, Susie sitting in the shoeshine shop
All day long she sits and shines
All day long she shines and sits
Susie, Susie sitting in the shoeshine shop

Try it, the faster the better.
