I would like to add some living color to my brackish tank but the fresh water plants die and the sea anemones like seawater. is there any sea water life that I can slowly convert to a high end brackish?

There are some plants which tolerate salt better than others, but much will depend on the salinity of you tank and the species you keep. Here's a listing: http://www.wetwebmedia.com/BrackishSubWebIndex/bracplants.htm http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?cls=16&cat=1980&articleid=3299

Red claw crabs (http://badmanstropicalfish.com/profiles/profile101.html ) are brackish, as are fiddlers, but these need a place to get completely out of the water. They're not completely trustworty with fish in the tank, though. Most inverts simply don't tolerate the changes in salinity from freshwater or saltwater to be able to live where most brackis environments occur: http://www.articlefishtalk.com/Article/Keeping-brackish-aquarium/177

Even though you don't want fish, you best bet for color might be orange mollies and sailfin mollies: http://greatneck.k12.ny.us:16080/GNPS/SHS/DEPT/SCIENCE/marine/students/mhon/sfmolly2.jpg

your best bet would be true crabs (not hermits or porcelin) and slowly, SLOWLY! (over the course of more than a week) bring them down to the new salinity level.
what level is it at anyway?
you can never have them lower than 1.016 or the WILL die.
most inverts are sensitive to hyposalinity.
