What is the temperature and weather like in Tampa, FL in late dec.- early Jan?

I used to live there and remember wearing short sleeves at night in the middle of December. It does get chilly on some days, but most of them aren't so cold you can't just put on a windbreaker.

Generally dry with springlike temperatures (say 50 to 75 deg F. Cold fronts from the north can push down through the state causing showers followed by windy and (for Florida) cold weather with lows near freezing and high temps of about 55 deg F.

We go to visit our friends in Tampa in January and we've had it be quite chilly sometimes. 50-60 degrees.
