Not me, but I have an opinion if you don't mind.. I don't believe she'll be all that funny (since I can't recall a joke of hers being funny, really). I don't think she's a wit or can think off her feet, like a Joy Behar.

She's a big name, that's for sure. And maybe she'll PULL some celebs on the show -- like Robin Williams, Billly Crystal, Steve Martin, etc. etc. when these guys are in NYC.

For a pure choice... They should have found a better candidate to represent Black America, if that's what they wanted (ultimately to replace the Brooklyn-born Starr Jones). Sure, Starr went overboard and "went Hollywood". If you want to hear from a grandmother with dredlocks, that tries to 'represent' from her mansions in white neighborhoods - and pretends she's a New Yorker for cred, at that. Sure, go right ahead. I'd have picked someone younger, someone's that done some things and yet isn't there to play for cameras (which is Whoopi's strongpoint, since she has enough money for decades now, to where she doesn't care what she says.. and can speak her mind)... finding someone with $$$, that would WORK 4-5 mornings a week, isn't easy.

I'd have tried to get Vanessa Williams (celeb been around with experience, a mom of four, right?) Victoria Rowell.. she seems very intelligent, can be serious, is an actress & easy on the eyes, younger than most on that panel, knows LA and celebs.. looks great in high heels and would probably take the gig. She speaks to real-people, to me, more than the character of Whoopi -- and is accomplished, has been on a soap opera (for her audience/on the "The View", that's meaningful).

I am glad that Whoopi is going to be on the View. She is better then Rosie and will do a better job then Rosie did on the View. I did not like Rosie on the View at all.

Whoops okay, but I was hoping they'd find someone to counter Elizabeth Hasselbeck's nonsense. Whoopi doesn't seem inclined to do that. Joy and Rosie are not well-informed and I suspect Elizabeth gets coaching and prepping to spew the right-wings talking points.

individually, i think of Elizabeth is naive and Rosie isn't something yet a bully whose purpose is to denounce something to do with Bush. i'm nevertheless questioning if Rosie replaced into fired from The View and the settlement conflict of words replaced into in undemanding terms a conceal tale. i think of Rosie makes some marvelous factors at situations, yet i think of she is slender minded and a bully. If it has something to do with Bush or the Republicans, it somewhat is faulty. it form of feels like Rosie does not understand that the Repubs and the Dems have been swapping capability on the federal point considering the fact that President Pierce over 150 years in the past. the two events have not got something yet music information of failure. yet to respond to your question, i'm on the area of Elizabeth. i think of she replaced into suitable while she reported that Rosie is an grownup and can safeguard herself. Rosie needs to realize that the international isn't after her because of the fact of her sexual orientation. the international does not like her because of the fact Rosie seems to think of that the international needs to think of like her.

Casapulla had the right idea. I like Whoopi, but there is a comedian already on the dias. Victoria Rowell would have been a great replacement (she would have also stuck it to CBS...)

Have stopped watching the show because of Rosie, and now that Whoopi is coming on, can't see any reason to start watching it again!

Yes it is. I plan to watch the show again. Something I haven't done in a long time. I think she'll be fun.
