No, because he won't even play.

I don't think anybody will beat Ryan Leaf as the biggest bust ever.

I'm not saying that Russell will be a Hall of Famer, but he will have a solid NFL career. Just remember the comeback vs Tennessee in the last seconds. Or the performance vs Notre Dame.

With that defense, he'll take the Raiders to the playoffs in 2008.

How can you say that when he hasn't even trotted onto the field of play. I watched Jamarcus play at LSU and he has remarkable skills with a rocket for an arm. Problem is he is a little slow at times to make decisions to coincide with reading defenses. But his upside potential is great. He may not come out of the blocks real fast but he is a winner. By the way, remember Peyton had trouble adjusting to the speed of the pro-game in his first two years. I certainly wouldn't call him a bust and I wouldn't say that about Jamarcus.

How does it look that way? The guy hasnt played 1 NFL game. He hasnt even played a pre season game. Where are you getting this being a bust thing? He will be the next great QB in this league. Nobody could do what he can do; Arm strength, accuracy, mobility and the guy is smart.

no, there are several others out there like Leaf, Akili Smith, Steve Emtman, Quentin Coryatt, Ki-Jana Carter, Rasaam Salaam, and Brian Bosworth. Wait until he plays a few seasons before labelling him a bust. That said, he and Brady Quinn should probably sign and get into training camp.

He'll have his share of rookie stumbles, but the decision to bring in dante culpepper, should help him tremendously in getting up to speed with the pro level. The've been compared way before for their similar style and stature. So having dante to show him the ropes will improve him to the top of his game and he'll be ready when he finally steps on to the field.

If Daunte Culpeper becomes the all-pro quarterback he was with Minnesota and Russell holds out for such a long period of time.

No, He learns from a Pro-Bowl Quarterback (Daunte). Daunte and Jamarcus are similar in size and throwing style...Russel will learn a lot this season and will become a good Pro quarterback.
