That is the Cain's way which is not acceptable to THE LORD GOD. But the Abel's way of offerings was acceptable to THE LORD GOD because Abel depended on THE LORD GOD who is Almighty and powerful; while the Cain's of today believe on their wisdom and disregards the true wisdom that comes from THE LORD GOD. Thus, science has brought the world into a global warming crisis today thus, even provoking nature creating stronger storms, melting of the icecaps, rising of the sea levels, no rains due global warming--these are the Cain's way unacceptable to THE LORD GOD. In truth I really don't know the answer but would it be morally permissible to cause humans pain in order to do medical research that benefits human beings.

This will not be a popular answer, but if it saves human lives, I think it's morally permissable. Both my parents died of cancer. If testing cancer drugs on an animal leads to a cancer cure with thousands of human lives saved each year, then I think it's permissable.
I feel bad that anything has to experience pain and animals should only be used when absolutely necessary with the experiments being as painless as possible.
I think the thing which is not morally permissable is when humans have animals as pets and neglect, discard or mistreat them. This is simply cruelty which is of no benefit to anyone.

I know that I will be misunderstood and judged for what I'm about to say. But... when did an animals life become more important then a humans life. Animals are our food, not our equals. If you had a choice in saving your pet or your child who would you save? Now turn that around and look at it like this. If you had a sick child and research could only be done on animals to try and find a cure...Would you care more about that animals life or your child's.

IF the research can be carried out in no other way and IF the research is for truly medical reasons, ie, to find a cure for some disease, then it is morally permissible. It is, however, far preferable to find another way entirely or at least a less painfilled or even painfree way to do the research.

yes.its horrible what some animals have to go thru.if their was another way then they should find it. but if they made a animal suffer and then your child could live then i am sure you would let that animal suffer.i would.we eat animals. its all necessary .I have gotten tears in my eyes, when i hear of dolphins and whales being slaughtered by the Japanese.I do care very much for animals and support with my money groups who protect them such as the Sea Shepherd society.but we must find cures for diseases.I hope you and your family or doing well.

Yes. Ethics is about activity that benefits human life. To practice sacrificial morality would sacrifice human life. There are psychos (PETA) who do not value human life that take up causes to destroy it. Understand this, their agenda is not to save animals but to destroy human life.

I really don't think God intended for us as a human being to inflict pain on any of his creations in order to benifit human beings.

it's the greater good, sorry. think of it as could you kill a hundred women, men and children, to cure the world of, disease, cancer, racism, hunger and hate? i know of many morally strong men and women that would in a heart beat, but the problem is, who says who gets picked. now if we can do our best to try and cure thoughs things without taking human life so be it.

Personally, I'd rather have a bunny die testing a new way to cure cancer than someone I know and love die with a giant tumor in their brain. Yes, I think animal testing for cosmetic purposes is terrible and immoral. But when it comes down to your mother, or a mouse, which would you choose to die?
