They will be better, Law is not a combo guard. I read article after article on him and he scored at Texas A&M because he was their first scoring option. He says that he wants to be a true point guard and get others involved he did this in Summer League and played great. Josh Smith is so underrated its ridiculous. he is the youngest player to ever record 500 blocks and when Joe Johnson got injured he proved that he can take the scoring load off of Joe and be a good second option. Josh has also been working with Hakeem Olajuwon all summer. He averaged near 20/10 last season and his average has been going up every year so far. I am pretty sure he will be a 20/10 guy this year. Marvin Williams is not a bust yet. He was drafted as a freshman 6th man from UNC. No one was expecting him to be very good until his 3rd or 4th year. He is a project and he has been developing nicely. This season will be his 3rd season so we will see if he blows up this year or not. Plus, you have to factor in the fact that the Hawks had more injuries last season than probably any team in the NBA. The starting 5 only played together a handful of times. They will be significantly better. I suspect about 40-45 wins and barely make or miss the 8th seed

well sometimes teams play better with new jerseys. my team the kings didn't do better last season with new jerseys. the hawks jerseys are okay. i liked the hawk better though, to many teams are just going to the writing of the name on the jersey. i liked it better when they had an animal or building or whatever. i think the hawks will be okay this year. they MIGHT barely make it in the playoffs. last time i checked they were in the east right? they'll be around .500 at seasons end.
Robert D must be a suns fan :)

The jerseys are pretty sweet and in a couple years al horford should be a good player, maybe even an all star!
But for now don't bet that the hawks are gonna do better because of new jerseys.

The hawks are a terrible team. A new jersey wont change that. The only good player they have is Joe Johnson who should have taken the deal the Suns gave him. Being a Suns fan I hope the Hawks do worse than last year because we will get their first round draft pick this next draft.

I like the new jerseys, but remember this...they are still the Hawks...the NBA's version of the Detrit Lions, Tampa Bay Devil Rays...and any other bad franchise that you can think of....Jersey's don't play games, on paper the Hawks look pretty good, the advantage for them is that they play in the east, but they still won't make the playoffs.

the hawks will slowly become better. I go to A&M and I truly know Acie Law's potential... I saw it on a regular basis. He is going to be the PG the Hawks need.

They still have no true PG and you can't win in the NBA without a good PG, but are they improving? Yes. The jerseys however are ugly and they should have taken it back to the old school and gone retro with their jerseys.

of coarse they will be a little bit better, but nothing spectacular. as for their jerseys, they are so boaring and look almost like the team usa jerseys. all of these teams need to go back to more of the old school jerseys. they would look fresh in the old dominique!!
