From Yahoo News: " Sunni bloc quits as 73 killed in bombings"

Sounds like more bad news, right? Well, they got the 73 dead in bombing correct, however the Sunni Bloc has not quit, also from the article:

"Issawi said Deputy Prime Minister Salam al-Zobaie and five ministers would resign on Wednesday.

The Sunni Front's 44 members will remain in the 275-seat parliament. Its withdrawal will have little practical effect on the 15-month-old government, which is virtually paralyzed by infighting but needs only a simple majority to keep functioning."

Roughly 10% of the Sunni Bloc resigned, not the entire Sunni Bloc. Why does the media portray stories like this and bury the details in the article (which they know idiots are not going to read)?

You didn’t understand the story. The Sunni Accordance Front left Maliki's Shi'ite-led coalition. This is not good. As the article explains, there are three main Sunni groups in the Accordance Front. This move weakens the al Maliki government.

Attributing an agenda to the media based on faulty understanding sidesteps the question of the use of headlines to attract readers to the newstory. In this case the headline was appropriate.

UM, the media did report the facts, else, how did you know? "Conservatives" see media blight in anything and everything which never ceases to amaze me. Without media, we would be no different than a communist company with feel good stories in the press about political leaders.

To cover it and the contreversy surrounding it. It only looks like a Liberal Agenda because the facts are pretty embarassing.

the media's agenda is to report the facts as they present themselves.

for all those that think the media is there to make Bush look bad, please provide links that show what they have printed is incorrect.

they report facts. If the facts make Bush look bad, that is not the medias fault, that is Bush's fault.

Many in the main stream media are left wing liberal loonies. They want to report bad news on the war to sell advertising and to promote the defeat of the US. They are in a symbiotic relationship with the left wing liberal loonies in Congress.

Brian, Brian, Brian....

Nobody has to 'make our president look bad'.

He does that all by himself (well.. he does get a lot of help from the gang of criminals he has surrounded himself with).
