Worse, but i think that is just how it seems for all the O.Gs out there. Hip-Hop is evolving, (personally i think in the wrong direction) It cant go back to the good 'ol days, cuz thats not how it works, and the more i think about it whats the big deal? The good music didn't go anywhere! Just crank that shyt up and drown out the bullshyt on the radio today, problem solved!

It all depends on what the listener wants to listen to. If us True hip hop heads, like myself, stopped listening to the radio and stopped buying 50 Cent albums...and starting buying more Mos Def and Little Brother albums, there's a chance we could see a rebirth. Cuz once those sales go up, corporate America jumps on the bandwagon and starts playing what we want to hear right??
But for now, forget it. Just let this club bullcrap have its fifteen minutes to fame. Remember, there's only so many ways these 'rappers' can say how they "party like a rockstar" and "pop lock and drop it". I say it'll come back in maybe, 2010 or so. But that's if we do what's right. Hip hop fans know what I'm talking about. Let's lay down what Hip Hop NEEDS and go out and buy it, not promote this Dirty South ****. One~

As an "old-head" lover of hip hop, I hope that it finds it's way back. But on the flip side, there's some good stuff out there, some underground stuff and local groups that are really puttin it down. If you love it, search out the good in it, hip hop is like anything else, it's gonna to go through highs and lows.
The mainstream stuff they play on the radio has gotten whack, but eventually people will stop wanting to hear about money & ho's...I am praying for sooner not later.

Are you old enough to remember the "Corporate Rock Sucks" graffiti that used to be so pervasive? Well, the major RIAA studios have got their talons into hip-hop now. The "Big" names, the ones pimped by the major labels, are going to continue a downward spiral towards a lowest common denominator.
Corporate "Country" differs from Corporate Pop in nothing more than a cowboy hat a bit of a "twang." The same fate is in store for corporate Hip-Hop. Hip-Hop is already becoming nothing more than a version of Pop that has a vague R&B beat, raunchier lyrics and "Gangster" clothing. This process will continue.

Hip Hop is nice i can not stand how human beings say the way it makes human beings bypass out and do adverse issues smh track would not make you bypass out and kill somebody its the guy decision. So i've got faith hip hop is nice i do in contrast to all of the recent dancing songs and that kinda stuff tho. there are various good songs that have a favorable which ability regrettably thos kinda songs don't get performed on the radio to in lots of cases :(

I honestly say that hip-hop will be cleaned up sexually by 2012.
I say this 'cause Akon(ONE of the dirtiest "hip-hoppers") said he would have no problem cleaning up his lyrics, but as a whole, hip hop will take a while to follow.

Worse.... I love rap and all but all you here nowadays are wack southern rappers who cant rap at all, just make catchy hooks that get annoying quickly. I mean i think its mostly up to the rappers who can actually write good lyrics and talk about things other than hoes, bling, money, guns and cars (IF I HEAR ANOTHER SONG ABOUT 24s, SPINNERS OR CANDY PAINT IMA GET PISSED). Theres just too many of em now all trying to get rich. Just cuz u can speak and hold a mic dont mean you a good rapper.

From here, its at rock bottom, so it can only get better. We're gonna see a return of the real - Wu-Tang drops their new CD soon - that has to be a good omen. Plus, people have stopped buying a*s backwards sh*t. Record sales are going down due to all the whack a*s albums, somethings gotta change.
