He will perform the main reason he is there. Because of the similarities in playing style and size that he and Jamarcus Russell have. You want your top draft pick to learn from a tested veteran. When they feel confident that dante has got him up to speed on the pro game, than they will hand the reigns to Jamarcus.

Not really. Culpepper has been tender for the past two seasons, and the Raiders O-line is just pathetic. He's going to geat beat up more than likely. His arm isn't the question, its the knees, everybody knows that, and he is going to get "touched" quite a few times in every game he plays. Will he hold up after all the punishment? That is the real question. The Raiders have a lot of building to do before they get better, not unless the offense steps up...yeah, right.

Culpepper would of been a good pick up if they had one of two key ingredents that made Culpepper at best a decent QB! Without Randy Moss he is a good backup! IF he does start it will be because Jamarcus Russell isnt quit ready!

Personally I love the pick up, I hope he starts every game and keeps throwing the ball deep and high! Just hoping his WR can go and get it!! OF course I am a BRONCOS fan and CHAMP, BLY, and LYNCH are going to have a huge year!

You Chargers fans think it's funny to called them Traiders huh, well i don't think so, oh I'm so surprise that you didn't called them Raiders suck. Before you can called any team any kind of names look at your team first. I asked, what have the Chargers won anything yet for you to open your mouth to called them Traiders. The last time i check the Raiders won 3 super bowl and big fat ZEROOOOOOOOO for the Chargers. Now that's is fact you can't disputes. And yes the Raiders is gonna be better with Dante Culpepper and win alot more games as to McCown as the starter. Go Fartgers!

They are for now. Even if Culpepper doesn't play and they let Russell start from day 1. Culpepper can be on the side reading defenses for him and giving him break downs. Also a nice backup plan if healthy!!

No team could be better with Culpepper at QB. He will probably start (only because he is less crappy than their other QB's). He will perform the only way Culpepper can, poorly. Of course even this low level of performance depends on whether his knee is healed or not.

Yes, for now . It was smart of the raiders to sign Daunte Culpepper because JaMarcus can learn alot from and they both are big movable quarterbacks. I think Daunte will start at QB at the beginning of the season and we'll have to see if JaMarcus can start in the ending of the season.

The Raiders suck everywhere, so anything is an upgrade...and yes, Culpepper will start over anyone else on the depth chart right now...assuming he's not injured...

yes they are better with him, jamarcus russel will hold out for a while and daunte culpepper is a good QB to have for one year, they are still going to suck but culpepper was a good pick-up

better with him?? for now yess. until russell signs they needed a guaranteed 2 QBs

will he start??? no. josh mccown is 1st on the depth chart as of right now. but they wouldnt have signed him if they didnt want him to play

will he perform?? i hope so. his arm has never been the question. its always been hte knees. if he can stay healthy he'll see time on the field and probably throw for about 500 yds and a couple TDs this year
