or do you do what a polite person would do and keep it short? i keep talking until they get aggravated and finally have to say "can i call you later, i'm really busy" or "i hate you, why did you call me" or something along those lines.

I usually tell them, "wait, I haven't gotten to the good part yet. " Then I go on with telling them about trimming my toenails or something.

If I'm calling, I'd keep it short. And if I'm the one being bugged, I'd just say, "Sorry, I'm busy now. I'll call you later" and hang up before the other person can say another word.

LOL, what kind of person would say "I hate you, why did you call me?" Gee, what kind of people you hanging with, huh? p
If I get the feeling they don't feel like talking, I will straight up ask if they're in the mood to talk or not. If it still seems like they want to go, I'll cut it short and talk to them another time. :)

Yea I am a huge talker I never shut up will go on and on ignoring yawns and excuses most people just say they have another call and hang up but I call back repeatedly I don't care. What I have to say is that important.

Sometimes when it is really obvious that they do not want to talk to me I drag it on just because it's funny. Other times if I know that they really do need to get off the phone I cut it short. I guess it just depends on the situation. lol

I would do the polite thing and say I gotta go. I mean if they don't want to talk to you find someone else to chat with.
They are not that important that you have to talk to them, so why waste time?

I'm not a big phone person, so if I even suspect someone doesn't want to be on the phone I say I have to go. You would bug the hell out of me with your incessant blabbing, but you're funny so it would be worth it.

I say "well I'll talk to you later" and then think of something else that I have to tell them and continue talking.
