i love them personally the songs they choose are so original and they are a great band one of my favorites!!

Horribly overrated. I'm sure they're talented musicians and that Chad Kroeger has a good singing voice (the gravely sound when he sings, I'm sure is just sound enhancement when they go to edit the track. It's the same thing that makes Avril Lavigne sound good on the radio when she cannot sing live.) But the song lyrics basically sound like the diary of a depressed thirteen-year-old who can't get a girlfriend, and thinks that his parents, peers and society at large is basically out to get him (though, in the case of their only good song, "Rock Star" it seems like talk of a dream that may never come true.) I will give them props for their hit "If Everyone Cared," which makes people think about how they can change the world for the better. But really, I've just been using this band to promote my casual fanship for the less overrated "clone" band Theory of a Deadman.

Nickelback used to be great they were on that hard rock/metal borderline with cd's like The State, Silver Side Up, and even The Long Road but know it seems that they've tried to hard to go mainstream, all their new stuff sounds the same to me and they dont have that edge that they used to.

Honeslty?
I guess if you really like any one of their songs, you're a fan of the band. IMO all their songs sound the same. I think they lack any sort of diversity musically, and I find that boring.
All the Nickelback fans can thumbs-down away. The question asked what I thought, and that's my opinion.

Plain and Simple. Nickelback is one of the greatest bands of our time. They sing about great things, even **** that happens now. And they make a lot of sense about it. I rank Nickelback at number 2 on my list below only Linkin Park

Freakin awsome band. their lyrics are good. i mean you can relate to alot of their songs. And the band is awsome. I just wish they would release some of their heavier songs on the radio. Everything they release on the radio is softer like far away. Anyway ya their awsome i'm acually going to see them in concert on august the 17th in new orleans. can't wait!!!

Really liked them on the Silver side up and the state cd's but after that it's starting to seem to be the same song being done over and over again.

i think they're good at playing music...and obviously know what they're doing due to their huge amount of success...but i personally dont like them hardly at all...most of their stuff sounds the same...mainly because if you notice their singer using almost the same phrasing in every song...

I saw them last yeat w/Bon Jovi they were great, so whats commercial and manufactured? Why because they have videos and are doing well come on now.
