we are a limo company in michigan and recieved this navigator a year ago before it was approved for us. We were converting the interior for ford to put in a few shows for them . Well ford hired a few guys to install the sound system and entertainment system. As soon as they started working on that the digital odometor and info system went blank and didnt work. well afterwards we purchased it, we stretched it and decided to put the origanal Factory Navigation Radio/System back in. Well still didnt work. With ford after you stretch a vehicle it voids warranty unlike the other two makers. Please help us with this. What can it be.

Now you know why Ford voids the warranty.
Grab a set of wiring diagrams and start the long task of tracing out the wiring and find if it is all correct.
Start with the power wires. and go from there. The problem is that you don't know what the other guy did. So you have to figure that out. It could be that he fried the panel, I hope you guys got a good price on it. I wish you good luck.

this isnt a good situation and its going to take some testing. Either they have cut a positive or negative wire to the system or they have managed to burn it out do to improper wiring technics. Look at what they have done and where there started to tap into wires. Do the obvious checks as well, did it blow a fuse did it burn a wire, did they cut a wire, did it burn up the system ??? A good wiring diagram and a lot of time will only fix this. I bet ford never trusts them again

sound like the wiring is bad or the fuses or the inline fuse or it is not properly grounded you will have to bring a wiring exp. to fix it
