As long as the speed of the memory is the same and the motherboard can recognized more than 1 gig memory then can.

yea as long as they are the same type. check htp://www.crucial.com to see what memory works in ur laptop. u should have identical memory sticks if ur laptop takes advantage of dual channel memory.
