I'd rather have a president that likes sex (even if its not with his wife) rather than a president who's hard up on war.

I get a kick out of people using the sex act to describe what Clinton did. I'm not interested in his illicit behavior, however, what concerns me most is the fact that he lied under oath to a Federal Grand Jury and got away with it. Had anyone else done that, they would be spending a good part of the rest of their life in Leavenworth. On another note, when Nixon lied to his constituents, Bill and Hillary both publicly stated that; "any President that lies to the American people should resign from office". Of course, they probably took a different view on this when slick willie got caught with his pants down (no pun intended).
Ken Starr wasted time and money trying to ruin Clinton with Monica when he should have been trying to prosecute him for Perjury.
Now we have a bunch of politicians slaming the Bush Administration and making decisions according to polls. Why? Simple, future elections. I will give them credit for getting the minimum wage law passed, however, they weren't going to get there cost of living raises until they did.
All the politicians in D.C. are so busy pointing their fingers at each other and bickering with each other, that they are not getting a dang thing done for this country or the people in it. Don't get me wrong, I believe in Government. Without Government, we have chaos. I just don't believe we have had a decent administration for a long, long, long time.
I don't like war anymore than the next person but if we don't fight terroism on foreign soil, we will end up fighting it right here at home. I have a nephew who was in Irag and right after him, my niece was stationed there for a year. Now that my niece is back, my nephew will be going over again. I do believe that Bush has made some big mistakes in the handling of this war. Once again, I believe he is making his decisions based on polls and trying to appease the public.
If these folks in D.C want to go by polls, they had better take into account that 70 plus % of the people in this country does not trust the Government. That number is dangerously high and if the politicians don't take it seriously, I have to question whether or not they are legit high school grads, let alone legit college grads.
Now, I am not a Republican, nor am I a Democrat. I don't vote by the party. The sad thing is, I can't vote for who I think will do our country the best job. I have to vote for who I think will do our country the least damage and by the prospective candidates we have running for the 08 Elections, I can't see much af a difference in any of them.

The Republican controlled Crongress wasted it time on the affairs of Clinton but them it delt with sex so lets go after him.
Bush made use of lies and terror to lead this country in war. How amazing the team of George, Dick and Donald never spent day in the military but were such experts on the war in Iraq.

My point exactly.....and everybody's always bashing Clinton. He was the President of the United States. What was so bad about him having sex with that woman. Men do it all the time, but because he's the President, it makes it wrong? NO.
Bush on the other hand is a liar and needs to be euthanized for his acts of crime.

Bush's lies are BY FAR worse than Clinton's lie about sex with Monica. I am so sick and tired of having that come up as some sort of retort to this administration's obvious abuse of power and lies.

I can't agree only because Clinton lied about inappropriate and scandalous behavior that brought shame upon the post of President while Bush was acting in the (in his mind) the best interests of his country and national security. I know his many detractors will say he lied to get into a war in which thousands have died, but sooner or later, this war was inevitable. It hasn't gone the way he planned, but I really don't believe he lied to further any personal gains while Clinton lied just to protect himself from shameful behavior. I personally like Clinton and I'm not that big a fan of monkey-boy Bush, but that's my take. Peace.

In Bush going into war in Iraq, he was not lying because it has the US Congress approval for funding the war. The Congressmen represents the whole country.
In lying for not having sex with that women, Clinton was a first rate coward at first instance. He was afraid of Monica and afraid of Hillary. If the 911 happens during the time of Clinton, he will rather confined himself in the oval room having oral arguments, whatever it is.

Does that mean we should forgive Nixon now? If a President stands in front of a national TV audience and lies under oath, the public have a right to be very angry. I have just as much disregard for someone that lies to me about a dollar or a million especially if they put their hand on a bible when doing it. People in all walks of life get fired for not being truthful to their superiors, why hold politicians to a lower standard? We can disagree civilly about most things but both being a liar and wrongfully calling people liars ends honest debate.
