Sometimes I will have a mt. dew here and here or anthor kind of caffeine drink. I was drinking a lot, but I cut back. I can't be too hard on my self about it b/c there are much worse things I could be putting into my body. Sometimes I just want a mt dew. (21 weeks along)

Ya'll are gonna hate me for this but I let myself have whatever I want. I don't drink that much caffeine anyways preg or not so I don't limit myself while pregnant. I am 30 weeks preg with my 3rd child and I have never limited myself on the caffeine intake. I do change my diet while I am preg just to be more healthy but I'm sorry to say that I love root beer and if I want a cup, I will drink it! My kids have been very healthy, my little girl was right on time and she weighed 8 pounds 12 ounces and my son who was also right on time weighed 6 pounds 15 ounces and yet I ate the same things and drank the same things with both of them. I really don't think that a little caffeine here and there makes that much of a difference.

Keep in mind that a cup of coffee has 40-100 mg caffeine, a cup of tea has 20 mg caffeine, a glass of soda has 24 mg caffeine, and a cup of those max-type sodas has 48 mg caffeine.
If you can do without that is best but if you need some then you do have some choices.

I rarely consume any caffeine at all... but I do have a small bit on occasion.
You are supposed to limit yourself to about the equivalent of 3 cups (literal cups, not mugs) of coffee per day - at most! Most people recommend not having more than about 1-2 servings of a caffeinated beverage every day.

I very rarely drink caffeine due to taste preferences. I mostly drink fruit juice, flav water, and gatorade. So when I do go for something caffeinated, I don't really monitor my intake because its so infrequent. Think the most I've drank while pregnant has been having a Starbucks frappucino a few times or a few glasses of diet coke.

Some mornings I have a cup of coffee and I don't drink any soda that day. When I don't have coffee in the morning I will drink a soda with caffeine in it. So, I limit myself to one caffeinated drink a day.

I stay pretty much in the 100mg-300mg moderate range. I am really not too concerned about caffeine as long as I am not drinking it extremely excessively. I eat well and drink well too (water, milk, juices and caffeinated drinks when I want to).

I'm not a big soda drinker or coffee. But it I really want it, I have it. Since I hardly EVER drink anything caffeinated, I don't really worry about it when I do.
