Work on getting the U.S. out of Iraq anyway. How long are we supposed to be there? For the next 5 years? 10?

What will the GOP do if the surge is a failure...or little has changed? hmm?

Blame FOX News and Rush Limbaugh for distorting the truth, and influencing the military. Then they will ask for hearings to see how they can remove tainted parties influenced by above said and get the real story they want.

Then, they will begin the process to immediately stop funding our troops and the Iraqi government. Boilerplate Vietnam Congressional tactics.

Then, they will find cover because of the hundreds of thousands that will die because of their decision, and blame Bush for the countless number of Al Qaeda training bases that will spring up all over the country.

And that is just the day after Patraeus gives his report.

Proof not lipservice is required. Everyone needs to make peace with the idea we are going to be there for a long time. Unless they run us out. If we can attain some type of peace with this. Maybe we could begin to close the gap just a little between us.

That is exactly what he will say. If he doesn't bush will get rid of him and get someone else. Isn't that what he did with the other generals who did not agree with him and say what he wanted.
