I was just wondering why some people's veins are so much larger then other peoples? I noticed most of the time that men's are larger then women's but I have noticed that mine seem larger then most women I know. The tops of my hands and the tops of my feet seem to be pretty big most of the time and sometimes alot larger then normal.

Could there be a reason for this or is this normal??

It's your genes which determine your vein size. Men's vein are usually bigger because men are bigger. Sometimes heat or exercise can make them swell but that is a normal reaction.

My veins are the same way, and no one has ever told me it was not normal. I think my veins stand out because my skin is not very thick or very elastic. Other people have a thicker layer of subcutaneous fat.
