I am looking for a weekend getaway. I live in NY and I want to get away but I don't want to do a lot of traveling by car. Any ideas? I am considering Wildwood, NJ and Ocean City, MD. Any other suggestions?

in the yahoo search bar, I typed "state travel sites for NJ" then I tried NY. You can do that for any state and come up with travel sites. Good luck, and enjoy your vacation!

How about going to Washington DC for the weekend? There's lots to do there and you can take the train from where you live. Once there, you don't need a car.

If you're looking for a beath, Rehobeth Beach is nice and not far from where you live.

Have a great trip -

while the g/f and that i prefer to flee we seem for quiet spots that hire cabins on/close to a lake. We deliver a boombox loaded up with our usual tunes, some grownup beverages, a deck of enjoying cards (we like to beat the pants off one yet another at gin rummy). we live off the bar-b-q and basically chill out jointly. Sleep in, devour and drink properly and challenge out to hire a boat or sightsee provided that we sense like it. and often we meet the nicest human beings at campfires. something around Lake Texoma?

well if you're not set on going to the beach why don't you try the Pocono's. There is alot of great lakes and places to camp.
