Ok, this is a dead serious question. I want some INTELLIGENT questions, if not some of you to think for five minutes.
Why is it that people have more questions on here and in the real world on TV, about how Bush is an idiot or he is the worst president as opposed to more questions about say how we should want to defeat the enemy? Maybe, how can we WIN (underlined) in Iraq? How WE as a nation can continue to prosper?
Why is this? Why do we have so many citizens that hate our president more than those who want us all DEAD?
Osama bin Laden helped fly a plane into a building, yet Bush is the villan. Saddam Hussein gassed and killed thousands of his own people, yet Bush is a dictator. Sunni(or Shi'ite, I get them confused) extremists are out there blowing themselves up, yet Bush is the murderer?!
Can someone explain to me how there is no hypocracy here? I want to understand why it is that you can condemn a president as "Nero" yet turn a blind eye to those trying to kill us.

Don C, correct its not just Bush, but no, not entirely the Republicans. The Carter should have taken a stronger stance against radical Islam, AND gone back for those weapons. Clinton, what did he do to fight terrorism, which did happen frequently in the 1990s. The only one with some what of a clean record is Bush Sr.

dead fox, to answer your question, the far right hasn't been out there calling your leaders Hitler or a Nazi. Those on the left have. Thats hate right there. Now maybe you don't hate Bush, but there are people who do. Now, the far right has called the far left things like cowards, but the left has done that too. Thats not what I'm asking, I'm asking why is it that there are PEOPLE in this country willing to villianize our president but never point out the hypocracies of the enemy? (i.e. how they are attacking their OWN people, not just Americans, but Iraqis and Muslims.)
When you have people sitting here b***hing about how bad Bush has "screwed up the world" but not citing how al Queda, Hamas, or Hezbullah has screwed up the world then yea, it looks like you hate Bush more so (and I use you collectively, not targetting you out).

akd, I'm not even going to touch your conspiracy theory, they've already been deboutched, get over it. That said, in case you didn't know, Afghanistan housed the Taliban and a majority of al Queda. Thats why we invaded. Iraq supposedly had WMD, we asked them multiple times to let us check it out, they would let us come in only to the foyer and then kick us (the UN by the way, not US) out. The UN was kinda pissed, like us. We told them to step down. He didn't. We invaded.
As for me fully supporting Bush, I don't. I disagree with him on several aspects, but he is the President of the United States. I respect him as such! The terrorist? Not so much.

because war is never a popular thing. every preesident that declared war was criticized and despised by a lot of people. very few peopl are privy to the data concerning the reasons for actions and not knowing can cause suspicion and doubt. they react by criticism and anger because they fear the unknown.

Firstly, I cannot speak for those on TV.
Second, I criticize Bush because I expect him to be doing better. I do, in a way, respect the presidential office. He has more tools available to him to stop terrorism or hinder it or fight it well. I do not feel like he is effectively stopping terrorism. We all have our opinions on how to effectively combat terrorism, but I expect the government that was elected by the people to be the most educated on this and when they have all of the advantages in the world, to be able to do what they say they will do.
And by the way, our nation will prosper when it is re-unified. Right now people are so bent up about how liberals think this way or conservatives think this way. There's so much hate for alternative view points and so little open-mindedness that I believe THAT is actually a bigger problem than terrorism. But the problem is that both sides just want the other to agree with them, neither will give up a little to gain a lot.
But I have a question for you:
Why does it seem like liberals are hated just as much as terrorists? Why do you tell me that I hate Bush more than the terrorists?
In the end: Bush is a horrible president in my opinion, though I do not envy him in the situations he's placed in. I disagree with him on many political situations and believe he doesn't represent me nor is he good at his job. That's not to say Bush is "Nero" or Hitler or anything like that. I just don't like him. Obviously I hate the terrorists more. I do. By miles and miles, in fact. But I know the best way to defeat terrorists is to have a competent government. I think even if Bush had captured Osama, etc... that we could STILL be doing better. Even if this president agreed with me on every political view and he was a perfect match with me, I would still be critical of his counter-terrorism actions.
I expect PERFECTION from the government. And no, that's NEVER a bad thing.

As a strong left liberal I'll say this, I LOVE my country, I FEAR my government. I like in Louisville Ky, and in 1997 the destroyed the Belknap Building which was an old manufacturing company in the city. It was a controlled demolation that used explosive charges to bring the building down. The World Trade Center was designed to withstand and impact from a Boeing 747 jet without collapsing and with a steel frame built to withstand heat in excess of 10,000 degress farenheit. Those buildings were bought down by well place dexplosive charges without a shadow of a doubt. Our commander in cheif stayed in a classroom sitting like a fool for 10 minutes after he was told that our country was under attack. At least 4 of the supposed hijackers on the plane are alive and well and had no idea as to why they we're lumped into this scheme as they are not terrorist. Flash forward 2 years and we are saying that Iraq and Afghanistan are out to get us. 2 wrongs don't make a right and killing because someone killed your people doesn't justify the fact that lives are being lost. If you are so supportive of the Bush cause and feel so strongly about what he is trying to do then sign up for duty and go kill those who have a difference of opinion. If you truly support George W. Bush and believe that he is right in what he does then sign up for mobile infantry in the Marines and experience first hand the quagmire that is the Iraq war. The war on terror will never end because terror is a state of fear, an overwhelming sense of imminent danger that. How can you win against something like that. That is an enemy that doesn't have a border or a flag. It's a figment of your immagination. Is it confimred that Osama flew a plan in a builiding. I haven't had anyone try to kill me and if they do so be it, I'll be getting sent home if they lay waste to this body. Oh and for someone that doesn't speak as well as my little brother in 10th grade English I can't support the fact that he is the leader of the free world. What did Jesus say to his deciples, something about turning the other cheek and praying for those who commit great atrocities. I don't ever rememeber him saying anything about eye for an eye. Here's Bush agenda, LIE, CHEAT, and STEAL. LIFE FEEDS ON LIFE, THIS IS NECESSARY

You Bush supporters continue to confuse Iraq with the enemy. They did NOT cause 9/11. And the only way this country will continue to prosper is if we quit starting unnecessary wars and concentrate on actually solving the terrorist problem. Creating thousands upon thousands of new terrorists does not help! Even our own intelligence departments acknowledges we are LESS safe and that Al Quada is stronger than ever because of George Bush policies.

It is very hard to believe that our government, past and present, did not have a hand in what led to 9/11 and what has happened after.
This is what happens when a country's leadership cares more about outside countries and what is going on there, than with its own interests and improving itself.
I don't hate Bush but I am extremely disappointed with all that has gone on since he took office. Yes I believe there was another hand in his "winning" of both elections other than just the votes. Yes I believe that he used 9/11 as a stepping stone to throw our soldiers back into Iraq. When he was in the running for office in 2000 I was extremely worried that he would somehow lead us back into Iraq but I wasn't sure how.
Bush ignored a lot of advice given by people who knew a lot more about Iraq than he did. He has classified a lot of info that would help people to piece together his own connection between 9/11 and Iraq and because of this secrecy he is less respected. There are more people turning to terrorism since we invaded Iraq- we have overstayed our welcome and many people see nothing wrong with trying to get rid of as many of us as they can. They don't mind losing their own lives over this, as long as they take out as many Americans as they can in the process.
I believe if we left Iraq sooner rather than later, we may see less terrorist plots. Bush is using this "they will follow us home" jargon as a scare tactic more than anything else.
I do agree that we shouldn't do a full pullout all at once from Iraq but it seems difficult to plan how to go about this with the media covering every single move used. I have huge respect for the troops- they were given a job to do and they have done it. But I would like to see as many troops, as soon as possible, being able to see their families.
There are times when I feel Bush has forgotten these troops are real people, with real lives and real families. They have done so much for this Iraq situation, despite how they felt about what they were doing or how they regarded Bush and his Cabinet, past or present.
Bush's work against the Democratic Congress, leaving them in a corner so they are unable to do anything regarding troop withdrawal, while the situation in Iraq continues and more people continue to die, is most likely what makes people (including me) compare him to Nero.
In terms of serving the needs of his own country, I don't believe Bush has been a good president. I believe his time in office has been self-serving more than anything else.

Because we have no real variation on the information coming out of places like Iraq and Afganistan due to the militia's code of secrecy - like we do on political masters like bush.
it's about not turning a blind eye to anyone - is it hard for you to see a world where only the villains prosper?

I certainly do not hate Bush. I respect the office of the presidency immensely. I have never "hated" any president. Unfortunately, these are difficult times we face. And those who hate Bush lack answers to these dificult problems. They in turn blame Bush for everything from healthcare, Iraq, crime, etc....... I am quite sure the man has made mistakes. However, his mistakes are not what concerns me the most. I have the same concerns you do. The persons out there that want to kill me the most. Terroists. They have a much better chance of killing me/others and ruining the economy more than what our president does.

The Liberal left is so self loathing and full of hate for their own country, the blame America first crowd, has an easy target in Bush. They have never forgiven him for beating their poster boy Gore in 2000.
