Extremely. These are always ranked among the top five schools in the country, so everyone wants to go there. Each takes only a few hundred students a year, out of the millions who start college across the country each year.

Don't know if this is true, but I've heard that Ivy League schools, particularly Harvard, want you to show passion for something. That means joining clubs that all are about something you like, not doing 10 billion different things.

almost impossible! They like academics..and when you apply,you need letters of references from teachers,preachers,etc...and you have to have a very high SAT score.2080-2370.doesn't matter how smart in high school if you don't have that range of sat's forget it.
you have to be in the top 10% of your graduating class-also
You need to take your sat as early as Jan..they make early decisions in April
the tuition is$35,000.room and board is $11,000.most students are there by scholarships or sponsors.

I know someone who was bright enough to get into Yale, but she was not accepted by Harvard.
