This is the 3rd futon I've had, & I'm afraid it's gonna break on me again. I can't afford a REAL bed.

Well I don't know what is wrong with people today. You sure got a lot of rude answers on this one.
Futons do not hold up very well for anyone; it is not just you. If the frame breaks, you can get a regular bed frame (these are real cheap) and use the futon mattress on that frame. Also you can get a box spring at a thrift store - you don't have to worry about the fact that someone else used it because you just put the futon mattress on top of it. It would be comfortable and no more worry about those stupid futon frames breaking.

Some futons cost just as much as a regular bed depending on where you buy it. But I hear that air mattresses are pretty sturdy and also comfortable.

Just stack the 3 futon mattresses on the floor and use them for your bed - either that or have sex on the floor!!

just buy a matreess and stick a bunch of colorfull pillows on it...wallaha a new couch /fouton/bed

buy an air mattress, unless your afraid to pop it, then in that case i think you better sleep on the floor and get some excersize
