Ive been acting since i was 3 and I've been in 8 on stage plays, 2 off stage, one for charity, and chorus for another school, it does cost money t hire the agent and have an assistant and all that. being an actress isn't always the best. Don't EVER put your hopes up higher then you can reach. You have to be able to memorize lines really quick sometimes only 3 days. Dont turn into a diva because its all downhill from there. Good luck hope to see you somewhere on the big screen! Oh yea p.s my moms old college friend sharin willkins i think was in college plays and now she is in maid in manhattin if you have that mmoive she is the african american maid and she is also in national treasure as the buttchers wife behind the counter here is her site on imdb http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1285561/ good luck

Sigh. You needn't wait for answers. Just search Yahoo answers resolved questions for yours. Everyone is asking the same thing. Your question shows that you do not know enough to be an actress. What you really need is education, experience and maturity. Check back in a couple of years. or if you have lots of experience and you are at least 15 years old, write to me at kencosp@aol.com where I give free advice to aspiring actors.

check sources like exploretalent.com or backstage.com. You won't really need an agent until you get your feet wet with some bit parts. Get some professional headshots done, take some acting classes and get your name out there.
btw -you can also look at craigslist, but be EXTREMELY careful -there's a lot of very unscrupulous people that post "jobs" or "gigs" on there.
