It has been a week and half already,my treatments have been over for half a week, i felt better. I had intercourse with my partner and it burned quite a bit, I don't understand. Is it becuase it's not gone yet, and it will go away on it's own, or is it back? Or is it something else?Should I seek medical attention? Lastly, i went to my doctor and he tested my urine. He said I have a bladder infection as well, so now I'm on meds for that. Can that be what's causing this?

Bacteria are always present in the private area - during intercourse, bacteria get moved around. Unfortunately with women, our bladders are only about 2" from the outside. It is very easy for bacteria to make their way there. Cleanliness is the first prevention. Pre-intercourse showers are a must. It is also helpful for women to drink the suggested 6-8 glasses of water a day to flush the system. Cranberry juice helps keep the urine acidic, thus preventing the bacteria from clinging to the tract. Cranberry caps are available in the drug store. Easy to take. With some, one cap with a glass of water equals one glass of cranberry juice. A couple a day are usually recommended. Find a woman pharmacist and talk with her. Bottom line:
cleanliness
water
cranberry juice

There are some women for whom even this regimen does not work. Then, a OB/GYN is definitely in order.

Firstly, you shouldn't have had sex until you were completely sure it was cleared up cos you might've passed it on to him.

Secondly, go back to the doctor and ask him for some Canestan HC. That's really good for clearing up yeast infections. The meds you are on for your bladder infection should help with it too.

Do you wear jeans, trousers or tights alot? If you do, that may be what's causing it. Especially in this weather. Wear a skirt for a few days and let the air get to "it".

Somtimes it takes 2 Diflucan tablets to clear up the infection. Call your doc and have him/her call you in another one to your pharmacy.
