Packers won't have a real chance until Brett steps down and lets the young guys take over.

You sound like the Lions fan that was on here the other day. Until the Packers actually DO something, they will continue to be ignored. No one cares about how a team MIGHT do, especially when they have sucked the past few years. Even if they do well, they are in a really weak division. Beat Philly and San Diego in your first few weeks, and maybe we can discuss this. In the meantime, everyone thinks their team is underestimated. Only a few of them are right. Why should we think it is you until the Packers prove it?

Its very simple although Bret WAS great and can still play he is not a top QB unless hes playing my Lions. 18 td's and 18 int's are not great. O-line is good only allowed 21 sacks last year. As for your top corners Woodson is great if he isnt hurt 4 of last 5 years he missed alot of games. And Al Harris sorry not that good. D-line is strength of your team . But LB's are your weakness.
So i see 8-8 or 9-7 with the weak NFC north

Look, I love the Packers. But I'm HOPING for 9-7.
We have depth on the D-line, and Cullen Jenkins is still an unproven quantity at DE.
LBs are good (can't WAIT for Abdul Hodge to get up to speed), as are the DBs so long as C-Wood can stay healthy.
But, to answer your question, I'd say they get "underrated" because they weren't able to stop the run consistently last year. They've got to get third-down stops and get off the field.
That, and leaving the running game to Vernand Morency and Brandon Jackson leaves me uneasy at best.
But our O-line was awesome by the end of last year.

It's not that they're underestimated.. it's just they haven't been doing very well. We don't know how well they are going to do with the line and the receivers this year. You can have the best of everything and still have a horrible team.

the pats will win it all anyway so stop hoping that the packers will suddenly become one of the top teams in the league because that can't happen until Farve gets his head out of his a s s and realizes that the packers need to start fresh and build a team around a younger QB who will actually help them win and not care about breaking all the records.

Everyone that says Brett is problem is off there damm rocker!!!!
Yeah there is pressure on Brett, he hasn't performed lately! But the past two years he has had to try and make it happen himself! He has a better team this year and just needs take the help were he can get it!
The Key to the Packers this year is BRANDON JACKSON!!! He quit possibly could be running straight to Offensive Rookie of the Year!!!

i don't know why they underestimate the packers.... im a packers fan myself... we do have one of the best corner duos in the league, Donald driver was #5 in the league last season in recieving yards, Aaron Kampman was #2 in the league in sacks.... i saw one "expert say that the packers were going to finish 3-13 this year... i was insulted. Not only was the record horrible, it was the worst in the league!!!
The packers are great, we're goin to the playoffs, maybe the superbowl.... GO PACK!!!!!!!!

Because most of us know that your "good" Qb is PAST HIS PRIME. That they don't have very many "good receivers" and those of us that aren't fans of the Pack know they just aren't as great as you want to believe. It's ok to be delusional though, some Browns fan claim they are going to the Superbowl this year.
