Don't give him anything a wife would give. This includes: make your own decisions (for yourself) and let him make his (for himself), do not share money and expenses, make your own plans for the future, DO NOT move in with him, do not cook for him, do not do his laundry, do not let him drive your car, do not let him have a key of your place, do not act as his wife, do not tell him everything about your day, go out with your friends (without him), go out with other men (as friends). In short, have and enjoy your OWN life and put YOUR needs first!

The saying means it you are giving him all the benefits of marriage without him having to make a commitment then why should he make that commitment. In my opinion it all depends on the man as it always did. If you dating someone who is not going to make a commitment they are not going it no matter what you give or don't give.

This is not true - if a man loves you he will "buy the cow" so to speak. Especially if he likes the milk - then he won't want anyone else gettin that milk!!! Haha honestly though I am engaged to a guy that got anything he wanted long before the engagement. We'll be married in six months. Find someone who loves you - end of story.

Hi, hope the cow's not empty yet...lol You should give just enough to keep him there and make sure that there's a desire from him to get the rest. In other words give him fat free for now and once he's willing to commit then you give him full cream. Regards

I think this saying is very old fashioned. We come from a different era than our parents. I didn't hold back when I was dating my future husband. He got the milk and he DID buy the cow. He's been with the cow for 20 years now. Why do I all the sudden feel like hitting the gym....?? lol

Hard to say really but I would rather just have a time limit say a year and if by then he doesnt act like hes going to or propose at least. I would have to put an end to it. You can never do too much for them ...yea right. Just do what you would normally do. But just remember what you do now for them they will expect you to do for them when you are married.

Having sex with a man won't prevent him from committing to you. But if you're shacking up with him and living like you're married without getting the benefits of being married, chances are, you'll never get a committment.

That's bull. A man who loves you and respects you as a woman and an equal doesn't think like that. A man who does think like that isn't worth being with to begin with. Women who say or think such things are sad bints and also not worth associating yourself with.

love is only giving from both sides, some times it can be one sided to ,materialy ,but what counts more is whether the feeling for you is love or a milking cow , just see nature, a mother , a mango tree. and the choice is yours

If you're giving him everything he wants, why should he make a commitment? He's got it made! Stop exhausting yourself from proving your love. If you have to go through all that, it's not worth it. Tell him goodbye, move on. He's treating you like a servant.
