He's right. If you still want that red frock then you'll have to catch the bus to work.

I love how you asked this in business and finance...

Perhaps it is because their 'wages' do not allow them to splash out on expensive and fashionable clothes, since most of the women prostitution are in the profession because they are desperate for money. 'High class' prostitues, on the other hand, who earn hundreds of pounds in a night, are able to use a larger proportion of their money to buy clothes.

Or perhaps 'badly dressed' is just a reflection of your opinion... after all, why would anyone go out to sell sex if they thought they were badly dressed? I would imagine they would try to dress provocatively. After all, your opinion on fashion might be totally different from that of a prostitue.

PS - do you consider the numerous girls (not prostitutes) who go out clubbing dressed in tiny tinky clothes, ie little white shorts, knee high boots, bra tops etc, as badly dressed? I'm not keen on the fashion myself, but I think they look like the stereotypical prostitue!!

Most are drug addicts and wear the same clothes, days at a time, when making money from the tricks. Its simply a occupational hazard. After a hundred Tricks and a grand in dope, dressing is not a issue.

So johns can find them?
It would be hard to make it as a street corner prostitute if you just looked like a normal lady waiting for the bus.

Does it matter what they are wearing? They don't do their job in it.
