If the Democrats keep their current strategy of setting a fixed time table for a staged withdrawal from Iraq, Iraq will almost certainly fall into a very bloody civil war. There will be even more chaos in the region, and players like Iran will gain influence, credibility, and strategic advantage at the expense of the U.S.

Within our own political system, Republicans will point to the debacle and say, "See what happened when Democrats replaced Bush's Iraq strategy with their own?" It will be an incredibly facile (and successful) way of shifting the responsibility for the whole fiasco that has been the Iraq invasion onto the Democratic party.

A Democrat President DOES STUFF and fires others to deflect duty from himself while he gets caught. A Republican President owns as much because it and takes the warmth, or resigns like Nixon did to maintain the rustic from huge expenditures and the guy hours of hearings etc. in case you do no longer understand this, you may desire to pass back to the third grade and initiate up the fvck over.

We all ready look weak in the eyes of Islamics .
We are attacked every day by them and this is a sign they fear us or respect our power .

You are a real piece of work to suggest that democrats will some how make us appear weaker in our enemies eyes .
That is if you can define who th enemy really is in Iraq .
Who is causing the most problems for the people . Our continued presence or those determined to force us out .

Its strange that when two idiots show up in your house and begin to fight and all your stuff is destroyed you claim to be helping the people living in the house .
We need to have a field of battle some place for idiots to come together and kill one another .

Absolutely not.

If a Democrat wins the presidency and the US has not already left Iraq, they will have no choice but to stay. If the US pulls out there will be massive genocide in Iraq and many more years of war. No president wants that to be their legacy.

No and no. There, question answered.

Now, REAL question for you: How did having troops in Iraq help the Spanish prevent rail bombings in Madrid or the British prevent subway bombings in London?

What we do in Iraq is irrelevant to whether a terrorist strikes here. Or do you think terrorists are working on an ordinal checklist and can't multi-task?

Republicans cut and run with the money, and leave the rest of us behind. It's called George Bush's ownership society. Get real, no president has done more for our enemies than this one. The strengh that Democrats will provide is our word will mean something again in the eyes of the world. How are we fighting the war on terror if we've aliniated all our friends?

Yes, When Hillary and Obama take office as President and Vice President respectively, the first thing they will do is "cut and Run". This wil make the US seem weak and the Muslims will not respect a woman leader and then the attacks will come greater and more frequent.

Answer: No. First, withdrawing from Iraq isn't "cut and run." I'm not sure that anything that takes this many years could be called that anymore... more like "come to a finish and slowly shamble away." Second, there's NO proof that the war in Iraq has made America safer, and quite a bit that it's encouraged terrorism.

No. they will find a way to do a phased withdrawal from Iraq. There is nothing stopping people from attacking the US right now. A terrorist could walk across our border anytime they wanted.
