i have recently bought a hp pavillion laptop, and it came with a hp tv tuner expansion card and an aerial that could be plugged into it. I have installed the hardware by downloading the right drivers. What I wish to know is what do I need from this point to watch tv on my laptop? Do i need some sort of scanner software or something? I really only desire to pick up terrestial channels.

If you have installed all the drivers and programs, among them *should* be a "TV Viewer" or similar application.

Else, try downloading VLC Player, and configure it to view your video channel.
