At the moment i have a male Betta in my tank along with tetras, danios and some other small fish. I am getting 3 new females soon. Will they all be ok in a 60 litre tank together? im not worried too much about whether they will breed or not just any pointers? if this a good thing to do or not?

Edit:

I'm sorry, that was entirely my mistake. A 16 gallon is fine for your three females and the tetras/danios/and so on. You can even up it to 5 females if you want, which will allow them to establish their pecking order faster. However, you still shouldn't keep your females in the same tank as the male. It's not just about breeding; their aggressive nature makes it impossible for males to live with any other betta on a long-term basis.

Do remember to keep your tank well-planted so there are plenty of spots in which your fish can hide.

yes that is a 16 gallon tank
and yes you can keep females at a minimum of 3 together because they will need to choose a pekkingorder amongst them

But you CAN'T put males/females together nor can you keep male/male together

Hope that helps
Good luck

it depends on the aggressiveness of the male it may take awhile for him to ajust. try putting fake plants and breeding grass in there it gives them places to hide.
