I just saw it for the first time last night. It goes down as one of my best horrors. Plausible premise, creative, suspenseful, good jump scenes. I guess it's a little American of me to expect the happy ending, but I really wanted to see the two girls walk out of the cave alive together. Why did Juno have to die :-( Good moral though: you should not practice cunning with your true friends -make peace, because life's a *****. What did you guys think of the movie?

i thought the movie was great, i saw it twice, and it was just as good the 2nd time around!

i guess life and death brings out the best of us

by the way, there's an alternate ending, which makes sense, it's european version (american version kind of left it a little room for a possible sequel), BUT that version is even darker, make sure you watch it on youtube!

A good horror flick and very unique to have all female lead cast for a horror film. Think in the long run this will end up being a cult classic that will be on video shelves for decades to come, sort of like Donnie Darko has become.

It is multi-layered and there are several schools of thought on the entire movie; some people think that the main char actor who lost her husband and child in the car accident never even left the hospital and the rest of the movie was her decent into hell. Others think that there were no "creatures" but it was the main character that killed off all of her friends (which is why she has the same physical stance as the creatures had at the end of the film).

Yet another premise is there were creatures and the entire situation was real, but as it doesn't show the main character dead, just surrounded, and it does not show Juno dead, only injured, that there will be a sequel and the two may still walk out.

As Juno left the sister of the main character to die (but odd that the creatures never attacked her) and there is some heavy eye contact between Juno and the main character's husband at the beginning of the movie some people think Juno had an affair with the husband.

It's not in my top 10 or anything, but I did like this movie a lot. It was much better than I thought it was going to be. didn't necessarily like the ending that much but oh well. I might have to check out the alternate ending that somebody mentioned.

You may want to watch the movie "The Cave" as it was very similar except that the creatures were created by a virus that was transmitted when one of them bit someone.

I mostly agree with you, I want to see my species come out on top. Certainly in the top 20.

This beats all the SAWs, HOSTELs event the Chainsaw Massacres.

Call me old-fashioned; but I LIKE my frights to be the supernatural, sub-human type.

Yea, it was good. I saw it in theaters and it was def one of the scariest I've seen in a very long time! Very gruesome, shocking, and suspenseful. It really freaked me out!

I thought it was corny, it wasn't that scary and I've seen better. Not one of the top scariest movies that's for sure!
