I think they should be more strict when it comes to the computer. Far more hazardous.
I was 9 years old the very first time I saw a TV. It had the big magnifying glass attached to the front. After that point I became addicted.
However I didn't grow up to become a murderer, robber,(thief) alcoholic, or drug addict, child molester or anything that remotely resembled the evil of the world today. It's an excuse for people that would rather listen to and do the devils work, rather than buckle up and be a REAL human being. For the life of me, I just don't get how anyone can be influenced to become EVIL by what they watch on TV.
I don't know if this will help you but you might draw an idea of how some people think.
EDITED PS:
Parents do have to put limitations on children because quite frankly children want it. That way they know they are cared for. That's the way a childs mind works. And yes over see TV programing, What we do as parents is more influential that what the child sees on TV.
If the child is taught dicipline it promotes good growth.

YES.... I do think that parents should be very cautious of what there child is seeing on t.v. There are certain programs for certain age groups, follow that, but I go a step beyond that, my kids ages 10 and 8 and they want to watch a certain type of show I watch first or I watch it with them and if I feel that there is to much mature contents in the programs I turned it off. More parents should do this and maybe there wouldn't be such out of control kids that doesn't know what they want to do in life.

Ofcourse yes. Parents should be more strict on what their kids watch on TV because the programs on the televisions can encourage kids to do sinful acts. Example: if he/she watched a TV program with insides like killing people, he/she may think that is right. He/she may do these sinful acts.
