Try resetting CMOS. Unplug PC. Remove CMOS battery for about a minute. Put it back then power ON PC. If PC displays self test (POST), press Del or F2 to go to BIOS menu. Load Fail Safe Defaults, save and exit. PC will restart and should proceed to boot.
If above does not work, try the bare minimum set up. Detach the HDD, CD Drive, FDD, only one stick RAM and just integrated graphics if possible. This set up should be able to POST and open BIOS Menu. Reattach the devices one at a time. The device that brings back the problem is the defective part.
If PC can not run the bare minimum set up, motherboard or power supply could be defective.

you know, often you have to wait a while - sometimes even a day or two - to get useful answers to questions.
If the hardware is running, but no dos sign, that generally means that either the hard disk isn't spinning up or there's a motherboard problem.
In both cases, either you, or someone you find, is going to have to open up the box and start doing advanced diagnosis.
Just figuring out what is wrong will probably cost you about $150 if you have to take it into the shop, so see if you have a friend who is good with hardware.
Note that a new computer would cost you about $400 or so at Dell (cheaper other places).

Sounds like you have a hardware issue with the PC. You could try turnning it off, and disconnecting everything except the power supply, processor and monitor and try booting it. See what happens. Does it beep at you? (It should beep if you have removed the memory).
If it does not beep, you have either a bad power supply or system board. Try replacing the power suplly.
If it beeps, replace the memory and try again. Hopefully you will get the first screen of your boot up. If not, it may be bad memory.
If you get the first screen, then turn off, reconnect one item (such as a drive or card) and reboot. Repeat item by item until you find the one causing the trouble.

Serious alarm bells here my dear! When someone makes you this upset and crazy they are truly toying with your mind, it's a control thing and a very toxic style of relationship. Don't fall for it..... he'll treat you like dirt and then when you get upset it'll be because you're a crazy psycho female (sound familiar?) and this will make you more upset which will make him say "see, I told you you're a psycho!". It's bad bad bad. Been there done that and can now see how truly dysfunctional these relationships are. If he loved you he wouldn't treat you this way and make you feel emotional and crazy. Don't speak to him, get on with your life and count yourself lucky that he hasn't stolen your spirit yet and turned you into a shadow of your former self.
