To answer Taiping's question the coin has been cut wrongly. So it is a manufacturing defect and the coin has an offset of all the details

there are so many errors that it depends. some errors are so common or unimportant that almost no one will buy them, and some coin have just be altered outside the mint to look like errors, when they really arent. if you describe it to me I could help you.

It actually depends on how bad the error is. It really depends on, is it actually a mint error or did it happened outside the mint. A dealer would have to see it. In fact try several and get their opinions. Most common error coins are worth only a few dollars and on a note it depends on what the printing error is. Real rare errors need to be authenticated before anyone would pay big bucks for it.

its valuable to some people. misprints become collectibles because of its rarity. try looking on ebay for other money collectibles so you can get an idea how much to sell it for.
