If you're not getting child support, that's the first obvious step.

If you're really disabled, go to the Social Security office (if you're in the US) and apply for SSI benefits.

If you are charging all your expenses on a credit card and only paying the minimum payments, you are living above your means.

To stop this cycle, you need to either decrease your expenses or increase your means. If you do not do so, you will eventually spend your way into bankruptcy.

Reducing expenses: look at things like cable, having cell phones in addition to a land line, level of Internet service (or having the Internet at all - it's free at most libraries), where you get things for birthdays & Christmas - thrift shops are get helps.

Increasing means: You are disabled - are you getting all the benefits you are eligible for? Is the father of your children paying child support? Sell stuff on eBay, find a legitimate work at home job (but don't spend any money for start up costs - you can't afford it)

Good luck!
