I don't think the level of corruption has anything to do with it, but I do think money however obtained, has a lot to do with it. I've seen some very qualified and gifted people stop running for elected offices just because they haven't been able to get enough money to campaign.
I believe we'd have a much better group to select from if money were not a problem. Some of McCain/Feingolds changes to election laws help.
I'm conservative, and I wouldn't vote for any one of the Republican candidates now running for president. I'd vote for Senator Hagle in a heart beat.
The best so far is Senator Biden or the candidate from Connecticut, both Democrats.

Because the most corrupt ones only care about doing what the people want, and saying what the people want to hear (Hillary). This is SELDOM in the best interest of the country as a whole.

Funny how you failed to mention the only First Lady in our Country's history to have been under criminal indictment for fraud. Can you possibly point out what lead you to claim that Giuliani is corrupt because I've looked at his record and I don't see anything?

Your equation is not correct. That's like stating that our Idiot King and his handler, 5-D Cheney are ethical, because of their meager approval ratings.
Of course, we know that to be incorrect.
As for Rudy, I think his campaign will go the way of McCain's (aka Mr. Irrelevant).
