absolutely not. the only elite QB is a man named Tom Brady. Perhaps you've heard of him...

Daunte is not a dominate QB anymore. He was sacked too often and couldn't pass the ball accurately. He's good but not great. When they sign, JaMarcus Russell and Culpepper will compete for the job of starter. Russell has the biggest arm I've ever seen come out of the draft. (He could throw 70 yards from his knees). Culpepper is looking for a 1 year contract so if he still isn't playing right or doing better the Raiders can adjust to the situation.

DaUnte Culpepper an elite QB? You've gotta be kidding. Never was, never will be. I have been a Raiders fan and Al Davis supporter since 1965. I now think Al's detractors may be right about his approaching senility.

Yes.

He wants one year deal. The Raiders want someone to hold the fort while Russel get up to speed. What's the delay?

See what happens when you go to bed early? Last year Dante was not 100% yet, he just thought he was.

I'm not saying he'll be better than Manning or Brady, I'm saying he'll be better than Brooks.

Waste of money. He was elite because of Randy Moss not really so much his own skills. Will his knee problems take away his threat to run and cause him to get sacked even more (yes I know he is healthy)? He is always had fumbling problems. Other than the strong arm he doesn't have great skills. Will being on a very bad team make him take more chances to make up for it?

I hope you meant to write "waist" instead of "waste" cause it's hilarious. He can't be an elite QB anymore. His well documented case of fumblitis has pretty much proven that. But he can serve as a stepping stone for Jamarcus Russell. And in that way he can be valuable to the Raider Nation.

One or two seasons. But now he is like Vinnie Testerdividie. Someone can come in a knock off a few wins. Get a team in contention. But not the player to build a team around. Just a few bridge years.

I don't think he can. At best, he can be a good QB, but not an elite one. It's unfortunate because only a few years ago he was second only to Peyton Manning (in my opinion)

Thats a great place for him since he is still trying to recover from knee surgery....this will also help Russell learn the game from a guy that plays a similair style.
