1. What do you call the person who works with autistic youths as their day-to-day helper? I need a specific job title here.
2. In a swimming pool, what would the person be referring to if the translation used was 'he enjoys himself on a mat in the pool.'
What is the word they are thinking of here. mat can't be correct...

For #2 a float. I would reword the sentence though so you don't give the reader the impression that some guy is "enjoying" himself. I would say it like the following: He enjoys using a float in the pool.

As for #1 I don't think that there is a specific term other than Social Worker, but I am sure that someone will have something.
