Not as much as I once did, afraid Jaded and I have become very familiar.

But for a laugh, I was intrigued last night, while winding down from an annoying day on the job, to discover that the better part of the British folks that supplied quite a bit of the cast and film crew of Star Wars - thought they were helping to create A TOTAL FLOP!! The implication was that they almost were embarassed to be working on such a movie. (a number of films in the day were of serious dramatic matters, a far cry from a space odyssey)
They didn't know what to make of Chewbacca for instance, thought he was some overgrown space dog, which shows just how much human-scentric bias there is... :)
But while the stars of the film didn't know what to 'make' of the movie they were making, they turned their amused bafflement into enthusiastic portrayals -- and the Brits, who were shaking their heads behind the camera and offstage, turned in classic "uptight" and "pompous" renditions of their characters. With the exception of Sir Alec as Obi-wan... he gave old Ben Kenobi some dignity AND a sense of humor.

I wonder do those guys who said at the time, "this is a complete joke". still admit to having said that? Do they confess to their grandchildren that they thought nothing would come of the wacky Star Wars film they worked on back in the day?? Do they still shake their heads in confusion at it's popularity??

Curious, don't you agree?

Hi Moon

I find the lack of visual clues and tone of voice in online communication really intriguing but frustrating too. We usually rely so much on tonal and visual clues when interpreting information whilst talking to someone. Online what you say is so much more easily misread, misunderstood or misinterpreted.

Maybe we should just bracket our body language and tone and add it to everything we say? The great thing is we 'see' people as avatars (lightly amused look and light tone) this must promote better inclusion (eyebrows lifted, jaw dropped, eyes skyward, huffing) well initially anyway (eyebrow flash, half smile, quick wink........ I said W I N K) no that don't work either.

Online communication is Frustrating but Intriguing.

Great question Moon.(Toothy Smile that reaches eyes, eyebrow flash and left sided wink. Click click noise. Lol)

Many things. Right now I am intrigued by the variety of questions and answers here on Answers. I am especially intrigued by those who do not attempt to categorize their question as to topic, but just put everything in "Polls & Surveys." It suggests a particular mind-set on the use of the program, but I'm not sure quite what.

Women (as people). Children. The world around me - from trees to stars, including the wildlife. People I haven't previously met, and people I know. New science ideas (but technology less so). Different views of reality. Politics (though decreasingly as I've seen most of it before). Social shifts (though decreasingly as I see most of them for the worst). Art (though I find most modern art sterile). "Toys" - tools and technologies, but I'm intrigued more by their ingenuity than using them. So a day is never long enough.

I am not 100% sure but I do not think that hysterectomies involve removal of the uterus. Actually, if you go to the website called womenshealth.gov. It will it explain it well. Good question!

Natural disasters. Anything can happen at any time. They can't be predicted, yet they can cause so much damage.
