because love is great and we all want it, so someone who is a 'fool' does not worry about the hurt or anything that could come from it and goes with what they truly want in their heart.
Surely it is everyone else who is the fool that doesn't follow their heart so easily.

good question, i had a really bad break up 2 yrs ago with my ex, broke my heart in 2... Took me a long time to start seeing people again ... Now that i have been with someone for 7 months and they are more interested in their friends than me and i have these feelings again anxiety, stress, restlessness WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH...
So i dont know why fools fall in love it doesnt pay to fall in love ... As i am learning the hard way again .. At the same time it doesnt hurt nowhere near as much as the first time, but i still have a lot of hang ups !!!!
