have tried didc . wizad and sometimes says that wount install cos printer is still printing (which it isnt ) many thanks mrs r witts(perhaps itoo old lol )

The printer won't work with vista unless you download the vista drivers for it.

I assume you mean Vista home, go to the lexmark web site and see if there is a update to VISTA if not they may be a download for basic printing only if not you will have to buy a new printer that is vista ready. make sure when you but a new printer it come with a vista driver on cd not one you have to download form the makers website.
