what kind of love affair is that? Well, usually a long lasting relationship.
It's not universally spread, though, as the order for beer is usually made in establishments mainly frequented by 'macho' men, where it is not considered 'cool' to order mixed drinks. Perhaps it's because they are unsure of their sexuality? Or maybe it's just that a cold beer is very refereshing...I have quite a few cold beers, especially in this heat (around 110 degrees today)
BUT...real men (and lots of imitations) are quite happy to order mixed drinks...I often drink Gin and Tonic, which is as refreshing as the beer, costs very little more (at least here) though you have to be careful not to drink TOO much of them as the measures here in Spain are VERY large.
Though with a bottle of Gin, Vodka, Rum, etc. costing as little as 3.00€ (maybe $4.00) it's very easy to forget the 'looking cool' bit. I have to confess, though, I don't know what a 'mohedo' is, despite having spent some time in Mexico.
So although I wouldn't be embarrasssed by ordering one I might be disappointed or very surprised!

Honestly whats the fun in that.If i wanted mixed drinks i would mix cottees cordial or something.But when i'm out i must have beer its become a guys icon if you will lol.

well i think that some time guys not like me wants to be cool infront of others and they think there already men by drinking so there problems could go away...i think instad of reading the bible a chapter a day.........................its better than drinking beer i think a true man or men is better of not drinking at all and go to church every sunday morning.......

good scotch (Johnny Walker black, Glenfiddich) is tremendously manly while taken over the rocks. it is not candy, yet once you enable it take a seat for somewhat, so as that the ice melts, it somewhat is gentle. yet another somewhat everyday "manly" drink is purple Bull and vodka.

I am not sure why they don't order strawberry dahquiris or razzleberries or pina coladas! Lack of imagination, lack of desire, or too hard for them to pronounce.... Then again maybe it's the manly thing.....hmmm
