If you measure any object to a small enough quantum scale, it's circumference is infinite. Therefore, if the circumference of a paperclip is infinite and you uncoil it, there should be enough to go around the world an infinite number of times. (So long as you don't measure the world at a very small quantum level too, because then the circumference of the earth becomes infinite and you would never get enough paperclips)

There are 63360 inches in a mile. The circumference of the Earth is approximately 24,900 miles at the equator. If a paperclip is 1 inch, it would take 63360 * 24,900 = 1577664000 paperclips to go all the way around.

The earth's circumference is 24,000 miles. Based on a 1 inch paperclip you would need 1,520, 640,000.

Good luck with your quest!

Work it out. Measure a clip, find out how many make one foot and multiply times 5280 for a mile. Then multiply that times the circumference. Very simple

Absolutely loads..

Ok, I worked it out.

On average a paper clip is 1cm.

It is 40,064 km around the world,

so 1 paper clip x 100 = 1 meter

x 1000 = Km

x 40,064

So, 4,006,400,000

I think?

Paper clips come in various sizes so you would need to specify the size before an answer could be given.
