Try to combat those insecurity feelings by studying and preparing thoroughly for your test. Take deep breaths, try meditating and / or drinking some chamomile tea before your test. Concentrate on what you have learned and try to anticipate a "positive outcome." Good luck!

MissR, it's excellent you are taking the time to be concerned before you take the test! Some of the examiners can be deliberately mean, just to throw you off. They figure that if they can upset you, and thus, cause you to make mistakes. They want only good, confident drivers on the road. You can understand that, can't you?

So, what do you do about it? It's very simple, really. You practice over and over. Once you are confident in the daytime, start going out at night. Then progress to rush hour driving. When you feel you have conquered that, go take the test. You'll do fine.

Firstly, EVERYONE gets worse in the lessons leading up, every lesson i had leading up to mine my instructor kept telling me i'd fail if i did this, fail if i did that, etc! Which made me more nervous but I think she did it on purpose to get me perfect though (I passed first time, so she must've been doing something right) :)

To deal with nerves, only allow yourself certain times to worry about it, lets say, 15 minutes a day, let it all out and worry to your hearts content, then when you're done just don't think about it for the rest of the day

On the day, you'll be a bag of nerves, but it's suprising how much it doesn't effect you, when it comes down to it you'll just go on auto-pilot and get on with it, the time goes quickly

it took me four tests to get a pass. the first time i wasnt ready for it (parents pushed me into it) 2nd time I was nervous, didnt get many minors but forgot to chek behind me aftr i stalled. basicall the more you have the more nervous you get because you are more dtermined to do it. i got 11minors for silly things but i passed. basically if you stall dont panic make sure u check all round you. the fact you are nervous now means that you wont be overconfident so you wont make stupid mistakes but dont be too hesitant though. just calmly go over the show me tell me questions and make sure you know them and make sure you sort out your weaker manuvers. you wil be fine. promise
good luck

Think something that calm you down, may be singing silently, don't get too serious, just relax. the more you worry the more you make mistakes. The key is just relax and do'nt think to much.Try to chew gums, it may help
