I went to dictionary.com and saw the definition of what an idealist is, but I really dont understand it. Someone said Im an idealist and Im wondering what it means. Can someone please explain?

btw, I didnt know which category this goes in, so forgive me :)

I think an Idealist is someone who believes in perfection, which is impossible due to the fact that people aren't perfect. It might also mean that people feel that you expect too much, and get mad at them when they don't come up to your "standard". You might be a little naive in the way you think.

An Idealist... hmmmm... good question!

I'd say an Idealist is a person who is too self-indulgent on his or her ideals or principles to accept practical or logical thinking from anyone else.

my guess is they thought you were not smart about a certain they thought you were unrealistic about your views ,as in your views were not as they thought the views of society are.
