I know it's recommended that if you have a thunderstorm, you should take those precautions including not using a corded phone. But do you actually take those precautions when there is a thunderstorm?

Honestly, no, I do not take those precautions. I do enjoy a good thunderstorm though.

nope! im to busy hiding under the bed with a duvet im to scared to think rationally lol next thunderstorm do you mind popping over and checking my appliances while i hide? cheers chuck :-)

If I see a REAL bad storm coming I'll turn off my computer and unplug the cable and power cords. But I only do it for the real bad storms

no, my house has GFCI wiring (ground fault circuit interruption) it will prevent me from getting shocked. I also live in an area where there are hardly any thunder and lightning storms.

I turn all the switches off and don't use a phone.

I do use water though.
