Confidence is knowing that what a person is doing is right and/or sure that one can succeed in whatever he/she does
Conceit is an over-appreciation for one's self, which usually comes with an air of self-righteousness.
A confident person is easy to be around and has an air that give others the feeling that they too can be confident and that person is accepting of others, which a conceited person gives off the aura that he/she is better than others and thus others feel unaccepted by him/her. Also, the conceited person gives off the attitude that certain expectations must be met in order to be accepted by him/her. The confident person will give off the feeling that all are accepted because he/she accepts him/herself.
An example of a conceited person might be a really popular girl at school who only has friends that are as popular as she is.
An example of a confident person is might be the top sales agent at work who is well-liked and is willing to talk to everyone he meets regardless of income, looks, social status, etc...

A confident person is comfortable in her own skin. A confident person doesn't feel the need to show off, to justify herself, or to put other people down, to the contrary; it makes other people feel good and at ease because that's how a confident person feels.

The former does not include bragging and drawing attention to oneself....the latter should remember to be as nice as possible to people while on your way up the ladder of success, because you just might see them again on the way back down.
