To date someone, I don't see the problem. As long as a relationship doesn't develop while you're in love with the other person.

we cannot controll our hearts, as humans, or we'd all love whomever we chose. There's nothing wrong about loving more than one person, dispite what media and many religions would have you believe, but it is good to respect the one who came before this date-someone by asking how they feel about it. now excuse me while i wax poetic for a moment:
does the caged bird not sing
more beautifully with freedom benieth it's wing?
indead, the most beautiful song is that of the bird that flies away and back again to thee
why do we
feel we need to force loyalty?
should it not already exist without coersion?
fickle heart migrating, just another version?
will the bird fly back to this place?
faith.

As long as they know and are cool with it, why not? Getting over somebody isn't easy, but you need someone that is strong, confident, and patient that is willing to earn love

Just going out with opposite sex (say a friend or a relative) is nothing wrong though one has a boyfriend or girlfriend.
