Is it just anything between two pieces of bread or are there other criteria?

What about if a piece of bread is between two pieces of bread? Is that a bread sandwich?

as for a sandwhich, i consider it as ingredients enclosed in two pieces of bread. the bread is the outside and it not considered a filling so therefore there can't be a "bread sandwhich". :)

pepperoni, salami, bologna, lettuce, tomato, jalapeno peppers, onions, mustard, vinegar, oil YUMYUMYUM!

Bread between bread isn't a sandwich, its a pile of bread.
Sandwich requires at least two of the following:
Meat
Cheese
Veggies
Dressing
Salt/Pepper
