michalob 86. We're still hangin' tough youngin'. I could care less what color he is. I'm like Martin. His character is what I'm interested in. Unfortunately I believe his is just like most like most politicians in America today, boy.

It depends on who he happens to be talking to at the time.
If the crowd is mostly black then like Hillary he'll act black but if he's addressing a crowd whose mostly white then like Hillary he'll act white.
Strange how Obama and Hillary are rivals both competing for the White House and total domination but yet they both have so much in common with each other.
I wonder why that is?
I bet if it wasn't for Obama being half black Oprah Winfrey would be campaigning for Hillary for girl power and to have a woman in a position of power above all men.
But the race card won out over the woman power and Oprah chose to back Obama instead.
How sad for Hillary if she was half black she would have the best of both worlds and Oprah would be backing her instead of Obama.
But there's still hope for her yet.
If Michael Jackson can go from black to white then I'm sure with all of her money she can go from white to black.
Then she will be the darling of the Queen of day time talk show and have her blessings instead of Obama.
If I was one of Hillary's advisor's this is exactly the avenue of thought we would be exploring together.
But alas I'm not so I guess she'll just have to think of what to do without my help.
I just hope ole Billy can keep his nose clean at least until election time.
If not I'd hate to be in his shoes if he screws up and she loses because of him.
Poor HIllary so many schemes but yet so little time to implement them.
If only Oprah loved her instead......

I remember someone told my naive Korean piano teacher that if Al Gore won, we would turn into a communist country. She said she would leave the country if Gore won. Now I know why. Yeah, I agree with you. No one is getting any freebies anytime soon just because Obama won. People don't always remember that Congress is in charge of making the laws. Our founding fathers did not want to give the president to have too much power. Most of the power rested in the representatives of the people. The president can excert his influence, but congress does not have to follow. There is a balance of power between the two. No president has ever done everything they promised because the real job is probably a lot harder than what they planned. I remember reading about that in government class. The Republican platform is all about small government and individual responsibility. Lower taxes. I don't think any Republican could have won this election anyway. Obama proposed socialized healthcare, which can only come from taxpayer money. To be honest, I really was too busy to follow the campaign, but I know Democrats (one of my other government professors) were vouching for socialize healthcare for a long time, even when Bush was in office. So the oppisite of the Republican platform would be- Democrats big government and less personal responsibility. So that is what they try to sell to voters.

Obama is smart enough to notice how the Rep's target specific single issue voters, they pick out "hot button" issues that have nothing whatever to do with actual quality of life, such as gay marriage, stem cell research, flag burning and force it down our throats at every opportunity so we can never forget what they are "against"!
They know certain groups, driven mad with rage that two women might get married or whatever, will fall out in their teeming millions to vote against those who, they are told, support these issues.
Obama is just trying to appeal to groups that he can make identify with him.
Isnt it funny how supporters of one party hate it when candidates from the other party copy their party's campaign tricks?

He's an Oreo cookie. Black on the outside and white in the middle.

hey guys his question is pretty vague. Don't assume he's racist. He could be asking whether the state is ready for a black president, because no matter how much you think that a black president is fine, there are plenty of high positioned white supremacists in our nation. They might not take it so hot, whether its right or wrong.

And i agree with the person on top of me btw. Obama knows what he's doing.

He's mixed race. In the USA, we've traditionally identified mixed-race people as "black," but I don't see how it matters either way. I like what the man has to say, and I think the only way to change our government is to take it out of the hands of our grandparents' generation.

LOL gray. But any way he is black as far as I know. But color doesn't really matter.

By genetics, he is mixed. By culture, he is whichever group he is trying to impress at the time.

Are you a bigot, a racist, or somewhere in between?

The days of your kind are over.

EDIT: You could care less, but color is what you point out? Yeah, you're a real humanitarian.
